Carers and Parents Comments

We regularly send out Carer Satisfaction Forms to our parents and carers. Below are a few examples of comments made on these forms......

“Can I just thank you for what you have done for me and my son.  We have waited for 4 stressful months not knowing if his budget was going to be renewed and thanks to your help I have now been informed his budget has been renewed and I can once again book dates with you.  I have no one to help me, I am all alone, I have no relatives, I always know you have my back and I am extremely grateful for all your help, I truly mean that.  It has made such a difference to my son, he even said he would run a marathon to get to respite”.  V. P., Oakley

"Staff have been really good at listening to us and accommodating my daughter's needs.  She always seems happy to go to Respite Fife and is always well cared for while there.  We really appreciate the service and feel confident leaving our daughter in the care of Respite Fife staff"   M. R., East Wemyss

"I can't think of any way to improve on an already great service.  I have peace of mind when my son is in respite, a real home from home".  E. S., Kirkcaldy

"My son is always happy to go to Respite Fife.  Everyone is so positive and so keen for our son's respite to be a success.  We are so happy with the general atmosphere and attitutde of the staff".  K. B., Cupar

"I simply cannot think of any improvements which could be made to this service!  My son looks forward to his respite time as staff foster positive relationships with the service users.  This service is a life line to us and many other families, the staff are amazing and always have time to chat with me, letting me know how my son has been during his stay.  The service is managed extremely well with great communication.  As a parent, I feel listened to and supported".  S. K., Lower Largo

“Thank you for getting in touch with social work for me, I tried for weeks to get someone to reply to me.  I am really failing now and my husband’s health has deteriorated a lot, I am struggling to look after everyone and have my own health concerns.  Thank you for all you do for me and my family, I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t get you on the phone, I know you will always answer and help me, don’t know what I would do without you all, thank you.”

J. R. Leven

“I am at my wits end, (he) is looking forward to coming in for respite, we need a break from each other, I do love him but I need time to look after myself.  I am just going to chill and take care of me.  I know he loves coming in to see you all and I know you all look after him so well, I’m putting my feet up as soon as he leaves.  I feel bad saying that but I know you understand”.  W. M. Glenrothes

“Thank you so much for all you have done, you have gone way beyond what we would expect, we truly count you as part of our extended family, that is how we all feel about you, we cannot thank you enough” D. M. Dunfermline
